ÖZET

Onbeş yıldır Buerger hastalığı öyküsü olan ve iki taraflı optik atrofi görülen 56 yaşında bayan hasta sunuyoruz. Hastada Buerger hastalığı dışında optik atrofi gelişimi için diğer risk faktörleri bulunmamaktaydı. Hastanın gözü akut klinik fazda görülmemekle birlikte anamnezi ve mevcut bulgularına dayanılarak anterior iskemik optik nöropati (AİON) geçirdiği düşünülmüştür. Buerger hastalığına bağlı anterior iskemik optik nöropatinin kesin mekanizması ile ilgili tartışmalar devam etmektedir.

Anterior Ischemic Optic Neuropathy in a Case with Buerger’s Disease

SUMMARY

We present a case of 56-year-old woman with bilateral optic atrophy and history of Buerger’s disease for 15 years. There was no other risk factors for optic atrophy. Although the patient’s eye did not examined at the time of presence of acute phase findings, the history and the last findings support the diagnosis of anterior ischemic optic neuropathy (AION). The precise mechanism of AION due to Buerger’s disease remains controversial.
