Karın ağrısı ile birlikte sitofobi (yemek yemekten korkma), bulantı ve kusma, kilo kaybı sıklıkla eşlik eden klinik özelliklerdir. Tanıda anjiyografik yöntemler altın standarttır. Tedavide cerrahi baypas ve perkütan anjiyoplasti uygulanan metodlardır. Superior mezenterik arterdeki tıkanıklığa diğer damarlardaki darlıklar da eşlik edebilir. Bu yazıda superior mezenterik arterde darlık ile birlikte karotis arterde darlık saptanan, aynı seansta karotis arter endarterektomi ve safen ven pathcplasti ile superior mezenterik arter ve sol iliyak arter arası heparin kaplı Politetrafluorethylene (PTFE) greft ile baypas uygulanan olgu sunulmuştur. Anahtar Kelimeler: Superior mezenterik arter darlığı, Karın ağrısı, Karotis arter endarterektomi A Case Rreport About the Application of Both Bypass Surgery Due to the Stenosis in Superior Mesenteric Artery and Endarterectomi Due to the Accompanying Stenosis in Carotid Artery in Same Session Summary The stenosis of superior mesenteric artery is a rare but important cause of abdominal pain. Apart from the abdominal pain; sitophobia, nause, vomiting and weight loss are the other usual accompanying clinical features of this disease. Conventional angiography is the gold standart in diagnosis. In treatment both surgical bypass and percutaneous angioplasty can be applied. In these patients, there can be accompanying stenosis of other arteries in the body. At this case report we represent a patient in whom we detected stenosis of superior mesenteric artery accompanying carotis arterial stenosis, we applied not only carotid arterial endarterectomy and saphenous vein patchyplasty but also bypass surgery by the use of PTFE (polytetrafluorethylene) greft between superior mesenteric artery and left iliac artery in same session.
