Kardiyovasküler hastalıklar endüstrileşmiş toplumların en önemli sağlık sorunu olmaya devam etmektedir. Bu hastalık grubunda, getirdiği yüksek mortalite ve morbidite oranları açısından koroner arter hastalığı özel bir öneme sahiptir. Ateroskleroz hakkındaki bilgilerimiz arttıkça günümüzde koroner arter hastalığı tanı ve tedavisinde teknolojik gelişmelerle birlikte yeni ufuklar açılmaktadır. Bu gelişmeler ışığında bu yazıda koroner arter hastalığının tanı ve tedavisindeki yeni yaklaşımlar tartışılmıştır.

SUMMARY

Cardiovascular disease has been continue the most important health problem in the industrial countries. Coronary artery disease (CAD) has a special important position related with high mortality and morbidity ratio in these group of disease. Nowadays, as our knowledge about atherosclerosis increases this enables with the technological developments new approaches in the diagnosis and treatment of CAD. This report contents a discussion connected with new researches about diagnosis and treatment of CAD.
