ÖZET

Psödotümör serebride intrakraniyal basınç artışının bir bulgusu olan papilödem genellikle bilateral gözlenirken tek taraflı olgular da ender olarak bildirilmektedir. Burada saniyeler süren amarozis fugaks ve başağrısı atakları tarifleyen 25 yaşında bir bayan hastada saptanan tek taraflı papilödemin psödotümör serebriye bağlı olduğu ortaya konmuş ve ayırıcı tanı çalışması ile papilödemin tek taraflı oluşunun muhtemel nedenleri tartışılmıştır.

Unilateral Papilledema in Pseudotumor Cerebri

SUMMARY

Papilledema as a sign of increased intacranial pressure in pseudotumor cerebri is usually observed bilaterally, although unilateral cases have also reported rarely. Here we present a 25 year old female patient presented with a complaint of amarosis fugax lasting for seconds and occasional headache and unilateral papilledema, who was diagnosed as pseudotumor cerebri. The differential diagnostic workup and the possible causes of the unilaterality of papilledema have been discussed.
