ÖZET

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı koroner arter hastalığına bağlı konjestif kalp yetersizliğini diğer sebeplere bağlı olanlardan ayırt etmede, düşük folat düzeylerinin önemini saptamak idi.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Toplam otuzbeş konjestif kalp yetmezlikli hasta çalışmaya alındı.Olguların 19'u koroner (12 erkek, 7 kadın, yaş: 58±9, ortalama kalp yetersizliği süresi: 3.3±1.5 yıl), 16'sı nonkoroner kalp yetersizliği olan (10 erkek, 7 kadın, yaş:57±11, ortalama kalp yetersizliği süresi: 3.1±1.7 yıl) hastalar idi.
Bulgular: Koroner arter hastalığı olan hastalarda folat ortalama değerleri 6.16±2.01 ng/mL idi, olmayan hastalarda ise; 10,27±1.7 ng/mL ölçüldü. İki grup folat değerleri arasında ise anlamlı fark (p<0.01) vardı.
Sonuç: Çalışmanın sonucunda; konjestif kalp yetersizliğinin sebebinin saptanmasında, eğer folat değerleri 7 ng/mL'nin altında ise kalp yetersizliğinin koroner arter hastalığına bağlı olabilirliğinin sensitivitesi %73, spesifitesi %68 olduğu ve anlamlı bir şekilde koroner arter hastalığı ile ilişkili olduğu sonucuna vardık.

SUMMARY

The Place of Folat Levels in Distinctive Diagnosis of Chronic Heart Failure Depending on Coronary Heart Disease
Aim: Aim of this study was to determine the significance of low folate levels in distinguishing chronic congestive heart failure depending on coronary heart disease from those depending on different reasons.
Materials and Method: Totally 35 patients with congestive heart failure were included in this study.19 out of these patients (12 male,7 female, age:58±9, average duration of heart failure:33±1.5 years) were having coronary artery disease,howewer,16 patients out of 35 (10 male,7 female,average duration of heart failure:3.1±1.7 years) were having non-coronary artery disease.
Results: Average folate values in patients having coronary artery disease were 6.16±2.01 ng/ml., whereas,average folate values in patients not having coronary artery disease were 10.27±1.7 ng/ml. There was a significant distinction (p<0.01) between the two folat values.
Conclusion: At the end of the study we concluded that İf folate values were below 7 ng/ml in determination of the reasons of congestive heart failure, the sensivity possibility depending on coronary artery disease was 73%, its specifity was 68%, and it was interrelated with coronary artery disease.
