ÖZET
Amaç: Bu çalışma, Sivas İli Öğretmenler İlköğretim Okulunda öğrenim gören 6-14 yaş grubundaki çocukları depresif belirtiler yönünden incelemek amacı ile tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma, Ekim- Aralık 2004 tarihleri arasında Sivas İli Öğretmenler İlköğretim Okulunda öğrenim gören 6-14 yaş grubundaki 255 çocukla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Veriler, Çocuk Depresyon Ölçeği ve araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanan Bilgi Formu ile elde edilmiştir. Verilerin istatistiksel analizinde Frekans dağılımı, Main Whitney U testi ve Kruskall Wallis testi kullanılmıştır.
Bulgular: Çalışmaya katılan çocukların yaş ortalaması 10.36±2.38 olup, %51.8'inin kız, %58.4'ünün ortanca çocuk, %76.1'inin çekirdek ailede yaşadığı ve %10.2'sinde bir fiziksel hastalık olduğu saptanmıştır. Çocukların %7.1'in de (22.4±3.45) depresyon bulunmuştur. Depresyon puan ortalamaları kızlarda, erkeklerden, 11-14 yaş grubunda olanlarda, 6-10 yaş grubuna göre ve bağımlılık yapıcı herhangi bir madde deneyenlerde bağımlılık yapıcı madde denemeyenlere göre istatistiksel olarak anlamlı düzeyde (p<0.01) daha yüksek bulunmuştur.
Sonuç: Çocukların %7.1'in de (22.4±3.45) depresyon bulunmuştur. Depresyon puan ortalamaları kızlarda, 11-14 yaş grubunda olanlarda, bağımlılık yapıcı herhangi bir madde deneyenlerde anlamlı düzeyde daha yüksek bulunmuştur.

Examination of the Graudate of Primary School Depression Level of the 6-14 Old Group Child
SUMMARY
Objective: This study was carried out as a descriptive one to examine graudate of primary school depression levels of the 6-14 old group child.
Material and Method: The sample of the study consisted of 255 school child who were 6-14 old group of a primary school October to December 2004 and who agreed to take place in the study. Data were obtained by using "Personal Information Form" and "Child Depression Inventory", which are used to determine the definitive qualities of the subjects. The statistical evaluation of the data was made by using the Frequency Distribution, Main Whitney U test and Kruskall Wallis test.
Results: The average age of the patients was 10.36±2.38 and 51.8% of them were female, 58.4% were mild child, 76.1% were nucleus family and 10.2% of the medicall illness. According to, Child Depression Inventory 7.1% (22.4±3.45) of the child were suffering from depression. The highest level of depression was observed in the famele and 11-14 old group.
Conclusions: Child Depression Inventory 7.1% (22.4±3.45) of the child were suffering from depression. The highest level of depression was observed in the famele, 11-14 old group and experienced substance.
