ÖZET
Amaç: Psöriazis vulgarisli olgularda gözyaşı fonksiyonları ve oküler bulguları değerlendirmek.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışma grubuna psöriazis vulgarisli 100 olgunun 200 gözü dahil edildi. Aynı yaş ve cinsiyet dağılımına sahip sağlıklı 100 olgunun 200 gözü de çalışma grubunu oluşturdu. Tüm olgularda tam oftalmolojik muayene sonrası Schirmer I testi ile gözyaşı sekresyonu ve gözyaşı kırılma zamanı testiyle de gözyaşı stabilitesi ölçüldü.
Bulgular: Schirmer I testi ortalama değerleri çalışma grubunda 16.59±6.6 mm, kontrol grubunda 18.25±7.51 mm olarak hesaplandı. Ortalama gözyaşı kırılma zamanı çalışma grubunda 15.63±5.5 sn, kontrol grubunda ise 18.33±7.40 sn idi. Sağlıklı kontrollerle karşılaştırıldığında psöriazisli olguların ortalama Schirmer I değeri normal sınırlarda bulunmasına rağmen gözyaşı kırılma zamanı istatistiki olarak önemli oranda düşüktü. Psöriazisli olgularda en sık konulan tanılar blefarit (%43), konjonktival hiperemi (%32.5) ve konjonktivitti (%32.5). Posterior blefarit, blefaritli olguların %83.72'sini oluşturuyordu.
Sonuç: Psöriazisli olgulardan ön segment patolojilerinin araştırılması ve bunların uygun şekilde tedavi edilebilmesi için oftalmolojik konsültasyon istenmelidir.

Tear Function and Ocular Findings in Psoriasis
SUMMARY
Purpose: To evaluate ocular findings and tear film function in patients with psoriasis vulgaris.
Material and Method: Study group included 200 eyes of 100 subjects with psoriasis vulgaris. Control group included 200 eyes of 100 age matched healthy volunteers. In addition to a complete ophthalmologic examination, all subjects were examined for tear secretion using Schirmer I test and tear film stability by break up time test.
Results: The Schirmer test results showed that average values were 16.59±6.6 mm in the study group and 18.25±7.51 mm in the control group. The mean break up time was 15.63±5.5 sec in the study group and 18.33±7.40 sec in the control group. As compared to that of the healthy controls, mean Schirmer I value of psoriatic patients was found to be within normal ranges, whereas break up time was significantly lower. The most frequent diagnosis were blepharitis (43%), conjunctival hyperemia (32.5%) and conjunctivitis (23.5%). Posterior blepharitis has formed 83.72% of all cases with blepharitis.
Conclusion: Ophthalmologic consultation should be asked in psoriasis patients so that the patients might be investigated for anterior segment pathologies and appropriate therapy can be provided.
