ÖZET

Amaç: Bu çalışma pankreas psödokistlerinin genel klinik özelliklerini, komplikasyonlarını, medikal veya cerrahi tedavi seçeneklerini belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Ocak 1997-Ocak 2005 tarihleri arasında SSK Ankara Eğitim Hastanesi 3. Genel Cerrahi Kliniği'nde pankreas psödokisti tanısı ile tedavi altına alınan 17 olgunun bilgileri retrospektif olarak değerlendirildi.
Bulgular: 9 erkek, 8 kadın toplam 17 olgunun yaş ortalaması 46.5 (21-69) idi. Psödokist gelişimine en sık neden pankreatitlerdi (akut veya kronik). En sık yakınma %76 ile epigastrik ağrıydı. Asemptomatik olgular izleme alınırken, semptomatik olgular, perkütan veya cerrahi drenaj yoluyla tedavi edildiler.
Sonuç: Pankreas psödokistlerinin zamanında tanısı, optimal medikal veya cerrahi tedavilerinin efektif olarak yapılabilmesi, komplikasyonlarının önlenmesi açısından önemlidir.

SUMMARY

Our Treatment Approaches in Pancreatic Pseudocysts

Objective: The aim of this study is to evaluate the general properties, complications and medical or surgical treatment approaches to patients with pancreatic pseudocysts.
Materials and Method: Seventeen patients who were reported to have pancreatic pseudocyst during their hospitalization in SSK Ankara Training Hospital 3rd General Surgery Clinic between January 1997 and January 2005 were examined retrospectively.
Results: Nine male and eight female (total 17) patients were included in this study. The mean age was 46.5 (range 21-69). The most frequent cause of pancreatic pseudocysts was pancreatitis (acute or chronic). The most frequent complaint was epigastric pain. While asymptomatic patients were followed up, symptomatic patients were treated with percutaneous or surgical drainage methods.
Conclusion: The early diagnosis and optimal medical or surgical treatment of the pancreatic pseudocysts is important to prevent their complications.
