ÖZET
Amaç: Primer açık açılı glokom olgularında kullanılan latanoprost %0.005 (1. grup), travoprost %0.04 (2.grup) ve bimatoprost %0.03 (3.grup)'un yan etki profillerinin değerlendirilerek, grupların karşılaştırılması amaçlandı.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Her grup için randomize olarak yeni tedavi başlanan 18'er olgu seçildi. Glokom tedavisi her üç grupta akşamları 1 damla şeklinde uygulandı. Olguların 1. hafta, 1, 3, 6. ay ve son kontrol muayeneleri yapılarak, belirlenen yan etkiler (ilaca tahammülsüzlük, yanma-batma, kaşıntı, konjonktival hiperemi, kirpiklerde uzama, hipertrikoz, göz çevresinde pigmentasyon, iris renginde koyulaşma) kaydedildi. Konjonktival hiperemi değerlendirmesi için skorlama yapıldı. Sonuçların istatistiksel değerlendirmesinde paired t test, ki kare testi ve Mann-Whitney U testi kullanıldı. İstatistiksel anlamlılık p<0.05 olarak kabul edildi.
Bulgular: Konjonktival hiperemi 1. grupta %38.9, 2.grupta %58.8, 3.grupta %64.7 oranında görüldü. Birinci grupta istatistiksel olarak anlamlı oranda en azdı. Hiperemi skoru ortalaması 1. grupta 0.61±0.8, 2. grupta 1.2±1 ve 3. grupta 1.5±1.1 olarak saptandı. Konjonktival hiperemi skoru yine 1. grupta istatistiksel olarak anlamlı oranda düşüktü (p<0.05). Kirpiklerde uzama ve hipertrikoz 3. grupta en fazla görülse de, gruplar arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farka rastlanmadı (p>0.05). Üç grup görülen tüm yan etkiler açısından karşılaştırıldığında, 1. grubun en az yan etki profiline sahip olduğu sonucuna ulaşıldı.
Sonuç: Her üç glokom ilacı da hastalar tarafından iyi tolere edilmektedir. Ancak latanoprost kullanan olgularda konjonktival hipereminin daha az ve daha hafif dereceli olması, hastanın verilen tedaviye uyumunu kolaylaştırmaktadır. Diğer yan etkiler daha az sıklıkta görülmekte ve gruplar arasında istatistiksel bir farklılık izlenmemektedir.

A Comparison of Side Effect Profiles of Latanoprost, Travoprost and
Bimatoprost in Primary Open Angle Glaucoma Patients
SUMMARY
Purpose: To evaluate side effect profiles of latanaprost 0.005% (1.group), travoprost 0.004% (2.group), and bimatoprost 0.03% (3.group) in primary open angle glaucoma patients.
Material and Methods: Eighteen new drug user patients were randomized in each group. Antiglaucomatous medications were applied as one drop at night in all patients. Side effects (drug intolerence, burning, itching, conjunctival hyperemia, eyelash growth, hypertrichosis, periocular pigmentation, darkening of the iris color) were noted at first week and 1st, 2th, 3th, 6th months. Conjunctival hyperemia were scored as mild, moderete and severe. Paired t test, chi-square test, Mann-Whitney U tests were used for statistical evaluation. Statistical significance was accepted as p<0.05.
Results: Conjunctival hyperemia were 38.9% in group 1, 58.8% in group 2 and 64.7% in group 3. Conjunctival hyperemia were the least frequent in the first group and the differences were statistically significant. Mean hyperemia scores were 0.61+0.8 in group 1, 1.2+1 in group 2 and 1.5+1.1 in group 3. Conjunctival hyperemia scores were also lowest in the first group and difference were statistically significant (p<0.05). Eyelash growth and hypertrichosis were more frequently encountered in the third group, but differences were not statistically significant (p>0.05). Considering all side effects, first group had lowest side effect frequency.
Conclusion: All of three drugs were well-tolerated by the patients. However, lower and milder conjunctival hyperemia increases drug tolerence in the latanoprost group. The other side effects were noted less frequently in all groups, differences between groups were not statistically significant.
