ÖZET
Amaç: Topikal glokom ilaçlarının kornea endotel hücre sayısı üzerine olan etkilerini speküler mikroskop (SM) ile değerlendirmek.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya 64 glokom hastasının 123 gözü alındı. Aldıkları ilaçlara göre olgular 3 gruba ayrıldı (Grup A: timolol maleat %0.50, grup B: travoprost %0.004, grup C:brinzolamid %1). Hastalara tam bir oftalmolojik muayene yapıldı ve temas etmeyen speküler mikroskopi ile mm² deki endotel hücre yoğunluğu tedavi öncesi ve sonrası değerlendirildi. Muayeneler birinci, dördüncü, 12. ve 24. haftalarda tekrarlandı.
Bulgular: Ortalama endotel hücre sayısı, her üç grupta tedavi öncesi ve tedavi sonrası ve hasta grupları arasında istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bir fark göstermedi (p>0.05).
Sonuç: Timolol maleat %0.50, travoprost 0%.004 ve brinzolamid % 1 ile tedavi edilen gözlerde endotel hücre sayısında anlamlı bir azalma yoktu.

Effects of Anti-Glaucoma Drugs on Corneal Endothelial Cell Count
SUMMARY
Purpose: To investigate the effects of antiglaucoma eyedrops on corneal endothelial cell count using specular microscope.
Mareial and Methods: This study consisted of 123 eyes of 64 glaucoma patients. The patients were divided into three groups (groupA: timolol maleat 0.50%, groupB: travoprost 0.004%, groupC: brinzolamide 1%) and underwent a complete ophthalmic examination. The mean endothelial cell counts were evaluated by specular microscopy before treatment and after 1, 4, 12, and 24 weeks of treatment.
Results: In all three treatment groups, after treatment, no difference in the mean endothelial cell counts was observed that before treatment. There was no significant difference in the mean endothelial cell counts among 3 groups before and after treatment (p>0.05).
Conclusion: There was no a significant decrease in the corneal endothelial cell count in eyes that have been treated with timolol maleat 0.50%, travoprost 0.004%, and brinzolamide 1%.
