ÖZET

Amaç: Bu araştırma, aktarlara başvuran bireylerin başvurma nedenlerini ve aldıkları ürünleri kullanım amaçlarını saptamak amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapılmıştır.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Araştırmanın evrenini, 15.02-15.03.2005 tarihleri arasında, Kızılay’da (Ankara Merkez) bulunan aktarlara başvuran bireyler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise bu tarihler arasında dört aktara başvuran 156 birey oluşturmaktadır. Veriler araştırmacılar tarafından literatüre dayalı olarak hazırlanan anket formu ile toplanmış ve SPSS paket programı ile değerlendirilmiştir.
Bulgular: Araştırma sonucunda, araştırmaya katılan bireylerin %13'ünün mide-barsak, %10.2'sinin kolesterol, %9'unun cilt, %7.8'inin depresyon-uykusuzluk ve saç dökülmesi, %6.6'sının kilo verme ve soğuk algınlığı, %4.8'inin kabızlık, %3.6'sının osteoporoz sorunları nedeniyle aktara başvurdukları görülmektedir.
Sonuç: Araştırmaya katılan bireylerin çeşitli sağlık sorunlarına yönelik olarak aktarlara başvurdukları, çeşitli ürünleri aldıkları ve bu ürünlerin kullanımına yönelik olarak sağlık personeline bilgi vermedikleri görülmektedir. Bu nedenle hemşirelerin ve sağlık personelinin ürünlerin yan etkileri, ilaç etkileşimleri konusunda toplumu bilgilendirmesi, eğitim yapması gibi konularda önerilerde bulunulmuştur.

The Reasons of The Applicants to The Herbalists,
Aims of Using and Buying That Kind of Products

SUMMARY

Objective: This study is designed as a descriptive study to determine people's application reasons to herbalist, their aims of using and buying that kind of products.
Material and Methods: People who applied to herbalist in Kızılay (Ankara Centre) between 15.02.2005-15.03.2005 constitued of the research environment. The sample was composed of 156 people who applied four mercery at this period. The data was collected with the questionnaire form which was prepared by researcher based on the literature and results was evaluated in SPSS 10.0 statistical packet program on computer.
Conclusion: The problems and proportions  that are ınvestigated with this study were 13% of gastrointestinal, 10.2% of cholesterol, 9% of dermatological, 7.8% of depression, sleep problems and hair loss, 6.6% of constipation, %3.6 of osteoporozis,
Results: It was noticed that those of the individuals who joined the research  applied to herbalist in connection with their different health problems and did not inform the health staffs about the usage of these medicines. Therefore, it was suggested that health staffs and nurses should inform the public about the side effects ot the products as well as giving educational information to the public about this subject.
