Protein S Eksikliği ve Mitral Kapak
Prolapsusunda İskemik Optik Nöropati

ÖZET
 
Bu yazıda sağ göz üst yarıda altitudinal görme alan defekti, optik disk ödemi, normal görme keskinliği ve normal renkli görmesi olan ve non-arteritik anterior iskemik optik nöropati tanısı konan 27 yaşında kadın hasta sunulmuştur. Yapılan tetkikler sonucunda hastada protein S düzeyi düşüklüğü ve mitral kapak prolapsusu saptandı. Bu iki risk faktörünün bir arada olması genç yaşta iskemik optik nöropati nedeni olabilir.

Protein S Deficiency and Mitral Valve Prolapse in Ischemic Optic Neuropathy

SUMMARY
 
A 27-year old female patient presented with superior altitudinal visual field defect, disc edema, normal visual acuity and normal color vision in the right eye, suggestive of ischemic optic neuropathy. The workup revealed decreased level of protein S activity and the presence of mitral valve prolapse.  The combination of these two risk factors is the cause of this early onset ischemic optic neuropathy.
